A desire to consciously create.

One Dimensional Man is a creative endeavor by artist Taylor Donner. Focusing primarily on ceramic arts and goods with occasional forays into other media. In an attempt to reconcile his love for ceramic arts and the creative as well as meditative outlet it provides, with the growing understanding that the world of pottery is already quite saturated, this project exists as means with which to sell outside of normal production/consumption models. To justify his continued ceramic output and without the need to fully commodify these pieces, he hopes to build a body work for purchase in which all proceeds go to organizations in need.

In an increasingly alienated, isolated, and industrial society predicated on being a “consumer” this is just one small attempt to slow down and use leisure to hopefully better the world.
